The Woes Of a Bride

So, things have been a little Topsy turvy these days. It feels like I am being pulled in so many different directions! Ugh, with teaching (planning lessons) and and planning the wedding I feel like I don't have any "Me" time anymore.
Everything I want is rather expensive........well very expensive! My Mom and I looked at the table coverings last Tuesday and I about had a fit. I want something classy looking and less restaurant style. Of course they had to show me the nice stuff first then the "economical" styles. Well my Mom said, "No, No we need to budget here," but I just see what I want. We compromised and went with a semi expensive/economical arrangement. I am happy I stood my ground. ha ha!
Well we had a wonderful Mother/Daughter baking team come over to the house on Wednesday night to bring us a delightfully tasty Italian Creame cake. Oh, it was to die for! I am definitely leaning towards the duo. We still are going to look around but that cake was yummy! I missed the meeting with the DJ but we rescheduled it.
Thats all I have for now! Don't worry I will fill you in as the days go by!

In the beginning

So far planning this wedding has been stress-free, well at least in my eyes…my Mom would sing you a different tune. I know what I want and if they won’t work with me then I say, "See ya!" I guess you could say I have always had the wedding of my dreams in my mind now it is becoming a reality, insert groom here haha. I feel like I have everything under control. I have minor issues to worry about, like a seamstress, bridesmaid’s gifts, and little odds and ends. I am actually going to look at the table arrangements/coverings today and decide on which style of fabric is to my liking.

Then on Wednesday I will do some cake tasting which I am very excited about……I LOVE CAKE! My fiancé Steven has been wonderful about the whole Wedding planning. He lets me pick what I want then gives it a look and either agrees or agrees to disagree. We have had some minor spats here and there but we always make up and then everything is perfect again. My advice to Brides-To-Be is to take everyday slowly and work on one thing at a time or bunch things up into categories.

I am pretty anal retentive so I like to have everything on schedule and broken down so that I don’t forget anything or any details. In the end it will all turn out beautiful and all the Bridezilla action will seem silly because what really matters is how it is going to feel spending the rest of your life with the man of your dreams! Stay tuned for more to come and you will get to travel down the road with me through all the emotions to my big day.
